NPI Senior Scientist

Personal Genome Diagnostics (PGDx) is seeking a motivated, enthusiastic individual to support New Product Introduction into Operations. The successful candidate will have a strong background in design transfer/product transfer and manufacturing of molecular products. 

  • Serves as the operations representative on new product development project teams
  • Leads and manages operations sub-teams for new product development
  • Provides technical guidance to project teams on manufacturability of new products, data to support performance specifications/design specifications, and operations documentation
  • Designs and executes process verification/validation studies for new products, including analysis of results and generation of appropriate reports
  • Identifies process risks for new products
  • Problem-solves and implements improvements to processes within the Operations system
  • Conducts daily work with minimal guidance from the NPI Lead, or other members of the organization cross-functionally
  • Develops and supports preventive safety culture and upholds the highest level of quality and safety in all aspects of the job
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Molecular Biology or related scientific discipline with 8+ years of experience in a product development or manufacturing environment
  • Direct experience with Product Transfer and Manufacturing
  • NGS experience preferred but not required
  • Ability to work in dynamic, fast-pace environment, and effectively can manage change
  • Driven and self-motivated with strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Ability to manage complexity and problem-solve
  • Ability to think strategically and translate large scale objectives into actionable items, both individually and in a team setting
