Director, Pharma Partnering
JOB DESCRIPTION

Personal Genome Diagnostics (PGDx) is Empowering the Fight Against Cancer by unlocking actionable information from the genome. We are developing an innovative portfolio of regulated tissue-based and non-invasive liquid biopsy genomic products for laboratories worldwide.  

Pharma Partnering is a key innovation engine for PGDx and our mission to build a world-class global organization with a full portfolio of regulated kitted NGS products. The Director of Pharma Partnering will be a leader capable of creating strategies in a competitive market and executing to deliver world-class results.  The ability to create, maintain and expand these partnerships with Pharmaceutical companies is critical to the success of PGDx by achieving maximum revenue and profitability.  The Director of Pharma Partnering will work closely with Commercial, R&D, Operations, Translational Science, and Regulatory functions to plan and achieve objectives.  

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Manages relationships with key stakeholders in Pharma partner companies from initial contact through identification of partnering opportunities, negotiation of co-development agreements and management of research, clinical trial, CDx and/IVD co-development projects
  • Identifies new opportunities, responds to incoming inquiries, and utilizes telephone, e-mail, virtual conferences, and customer visits as appropriate to achieve objectives.
  • Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Provides input on scientific and competitive activity.
  • Proven ability to drive business decisions and manage multiple projects effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Energetic, result-driven, self-starter with a strong and polished executive presence, entrepreneurial mindset, and ability to think strategically and analytically.
  • A verifiable reputation of integrity, resilience, fairness, and passion for supporting complex data-driven decisions.
  • Superb oral and written communication, interpersonal, influence and negotiation skills.
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • Advanced Degree (scientific field preferred but not required), 10+ years’ experience.
  • A combination of diagnostic company and startup experience is preferred, but not required.
  • Knowledge and experience in genomics as related to pharmaceutical drug discovery, clinical research, and development of in vitro diagnostics.
