Associate Director, Clinical NGS (ACDN)
JOB DESCRIPTION

Personal Genome Diagnostics (PGDx) offers innovative diagnostic tests and bioinformatic systems that play a pivotal role in the groundbreaking area of next generation sequencing (NGS). The role of ADCN is responsible for establishing the adoption of new products and clinical applications in the oncology NGS market by working closely with oncologists, pathologists and clinical researchers. The ADCN will help expand the global NGS market and gain adoption of PGDx’s tissue and liquid biopsy targeted assays. The core objective of this position is the cooperation and collaboration with key opinion leaders (KOLs) to ensure that PGDx’s IVD assays gain uptake in the clinical market space through clinical and enrollment trials and establishment of Centers of Evidence (COEs) and create market awareness through presentations, publications, webinar and press releases. This will rely heavily on developing and maintaining strong working relationships with both external customers and internal teams to ensure unimpeded flow of information critical to assay success and clinical uptake.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Communicate and cooperate on a technical level with leading scientists and clinicians serving as a link between external experts and internal management teams including product management, research, and clinical R&D
  • Generate demand for PGDx assays by successfully executing a clinical market development plan that combines both clinical evidence and marketing tactics
  • Collaborate closely with commercial team to build sales funnel through customer segmentation, targeting, lead generation, customer presentations and discussions
  • Work closely with marketing team to develop collateral material that uses clinical data to substantiate the clinical benefits and unique selling points of the assays
  • Guide corporate strategy and set future product specifications by identifying addressable clinical needs through market, KOL, and advisory board feedback
  • Develop and present well-structured presentations to inform oncologists and pathologists about the latest company developments and support training and sales activity
  • Represent PGDx at scientific conferences as well as user meetings and trainings as needed
  • Stay up-to-date on scientific publications, market communications and competition to develop and maintain accurate and consistent messaging within the commercial team
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • 50% travel expectation
  • Advanced degree in science or medicine, MD or PhD preferred
  • Experience in the oncology and/or NGS market space preferred
  • Cooperative personality on both an external and internal profession level
  • Self-driven work ethic; capable of working remote without continuous oversight
  • Experience in public speaking, panel moderation, and one-on-one clinician engagement
  • Experience with product commercialization and working with sales force personnel
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills including making impactful presentations
  • Proven informal and formal leadership ability
  • Negotiation, contracting and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in a regulated environment
  • Knowledge of technical and market issues/factors
