Job Description:
Personal Genome Diagnostics (PGDx) is Empowering the Fight Against Cancer by unlocking actionable information from the genome. We are developing an innovative portfolio of regulated tissue-based and non-invasive liquid biopsy genomic products for laboratories worldwide.
PGDx seeks a highly motivated, professional Statistical Programmer who will provide statistical programming support across PGDx’s product design and development projects. Data is a critical component in the design and development of our products and services. The Statistical Programmer will directly impact our products, customers and patients.
Responsibilities:
Author and execute statistical analysis plans in coordination with stakeholders with appropriate use of statistical methods rooted in industry best practices
Develop and maintain statistical software systems using software engineering best practices
Analyze datasets, present, communicate and document results and conclusions both orally and in written form
Provide subject matter expertise in study design and analysis
Select appropriate statistical tools for addressing scientific questions
Support responses to statistical queries from regulatory bodies
Develop statistical training programs for different areas in the company
Produce TLFs (tables, lines, forms) for study SAPs, programming in R
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s, Master’s or PhD degree in Statistics or Biostatistics or related field
2+ years’ experience in work directly related to biostatistics
Excellent programming skills in R
Team-first attitude and entrepreneurial spirit
Ability to deliver within fixed deadlines
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to learn quickly on the job
Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s degree in related field preferred
Familiarity with concepts in genomics and bioinformatics analysis of cancer.
Experience with agile software development methodology and practices, git source control, and Atlassian tools (JIRA, Confluence, Bitbucket, Bamboo)
