Tools / Process Improvement:

• Responsible to train sales representatives on pricing & contracting tools and procedures.
• Identify opportunities to improve business processes and devise plans to implement these changes, report on outcomes and tie to business objectives.
• Involves independent judgment and analysis of significant issue identification and resolution.
• Prior experience in implementation or integration of a contract lifecycle management system to improve visibility and shorten the overall contract lifecycle.
• Design a pricing process, inclusive of systems/​platforms that enables transparency and speed.
• Experience in creating and executing pricing strategies and programs across multiple business segments.

Contracts:

• Draft and revise a variety of complex contracts, including but not limited to, commercial contracts with customers, such as health systems and/​or pharma partners, supply agreements, strategic sourcing contracts, non-disclosure agreements and material transfer agreements.
• Analyzes significant and/​or unique contract requirements, special provisions, terms, and conditions to ensure compliance with appropriate laws, regulations, and corporate policies and business unit procedure and communicates results to stakeholders.
• Ensure the organization’s internal contract documents are accurate and well maintained.
• Meet with customers to discuss both pricing and contract matters. Develops negotiation strategy and leads negotiation team on complex contractual issues. Work closely with the commercial team to provide advice and guidance related to contract structure.
• Strong orientation to serve internal and external customers. Maintain excellent working relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure their needs are met.
• Responsible for customer contract compliance, contract monitoring and work with internal audit teams to review compliance with all corporate contracting guidelines.

Pricing:

• Create and review proposals for economic profitability and product margin; partner with stakeholders to improve both measures of contract health
• Understand the business case and financial/​analytical issues and profit and loss implications.
• Coordinates with the finance department to ensure correct billing and collection of contractual revenues.
• Work with cross-functional teams to develop product pricing and marketing strategies prior to product launch.

• Bachelor’s degree plus 8+ years business, commercial or related experience.
• Juris Doctorate or Master’s Degree in business is highly desirable.
• Significant commercial experience within the biotech or medical device industry. Pharma experience strongly preferred.
• Demonstrate a solid understanding of legal terminology.
• Comfortable working as part of a multidimensional team.
• Exemplify a strong attention to detail.
• Possesses superior organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects with shifting deadlines. Must have experience leading large cross-functional initiatives.
• Must have strong computer skills and knowledge of common programs such as Microsoft Office.
• Previous experience working with contract regulations the related laws is strongly preferred.
